M is for Microdosing
It was as windy as Chicago on the streets of DC tonight. I hit the bong after I punched the clock on my daytime grind as a professional butterfly catcher and took a stroll to see the real world outside of the walls of my “home office”. I’d personally rather have my corner office back overlooking The Palm on 19th and M but I suppose just as well over here in Logan Circle during corona. Actually it's better because when I work from home I can get the top weed delivery service in dc I saw several leaf tornadoes in the middle of every intersection as I walked down 14th and saw a bar I had never spotted before, and will probably never remember again. The paint was a lighter navy blue on a wooden facade, almost nautical and there was lettering on the front of the building, incredible impression right? It had people inside, lots of them on a Monday night. And when you look around you realize that the bars are full every night. That's what I love about this city. It moves around you, it has no time to wait for you as the next show must go on. DC is beautiful, political and transactional. And the weed is legal, the restaurants are phenomenal, the monuments are spectacular and most of all the weed delivery service in DC is mindblowing and fantastic. In a world where things go right past me and I continue to propel forward in life with no effort as if there is a director opening and closing every scene on a strict series of deadlines, once I heard it described as a merry go round and found that to be a thought provoking perspective. It means something different to everyone, and that's what makes it all so beautiful and worth appreciating with a little cannabis to heighten the experience and expand the mind. Life is about experiences. The temperature was pretty nice today but the wind was really whipping those crispy leaves around on the street tonight. Good thing I have an order from Lucky Chuckie DC headed my way. I love ordering because it's so easy, they send you the menu or you can find it here online. Some of my favorites lately have been butterfingerz strain, icelato, white runtz just to name a few. Living in DC seems easy from the outside but you can wear yourself out trying to walk everywhere and even folks who take the bus have to walk to the bus. If you really want to see DC you should take a tour with Lucky Chuckie Tours. One thing that is really popular right now, in addition to holiday tours, is microdosing weed. If you haven't heard about this, it's a pretty cutting edge approach to pain management and anxiety treatment.
Microdosing is the latest fad and involves taking only 1-10 mg of thc to feel the desired effects of weed. There are products on the market up to 1,000 thc. So have you ever heard the phrase less is more. I like to remind myself of this, I’m currently in physical therapy from swiping my credit card too many times. God bless the holiday season. Retail is detail!! The doctor called it an overuse injury. Smoking flower really helps with my pain and thc is a unique compound because it goes in the opposite direction of the neuro pathways in your brain. Also because over time when you smoke the same quantity over and over it becomes less and less effective. But if you take a break for a week or so you can get high again like it was the first time. Smoking too much weed is counter productive, gives you anxiety and puts you at risk for certain cancers when you smoke too much. As taught in western medicine, you want to use the minimum effective dose of anything you are using. The less product you use the better it works. Studies have shown improvement in the health of people is little as 3mg per day. Here are the breakdowns are typical smoking activities and the mg associate with each act:
1.) blunt= 12 mg HTC
2.) bong = 13mg HTCsurprisingly
3.) vape = 17mg HTC
4.) tincture, edibles = read the label or ask the chef
You really DONT want to be that person who got so stoned the first time they tried it that they called 911 and told them to send the cops directly to their house.
When smoked, THC reaches the bloodstream rapidly after being absorbed by the lungs. With edibles, the liver metabolizes the THC — a much slower route. It can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours to start feeling the effects, which tend to be stronger and last longer compared to smoking or vaping. People are microdosing for chronic pain and finding relief. One woman found relief with 1.5 mg. Other people are reporting relief from long term back pain, and athletes are reporting that they are able to sleep the night after smoking and get a deeper, more restorative rest. I personally find it to be very interesting. Americans tend to use significantly more of everything and this approach is quite conservative. Who knew? Microdosing is the new thing.
