How Many Hits Does a Geek Bar Really Have?

Geek Bar is one of the most popular disposable vape brands on the market today, and one of the things that makes the brand so popular – aside from its famous technical innovations like Pulse Mode and built-in smart displays – is that Geek Bars are available in a wide range of sizes and capacities to suit every need. So, whether you’re looking for a “big puff” vape or something a little smaller, Geek Bar definitely has you covered.

How many hits does a Geek Bar really have, though? As you probably suspected, answering that question isn’t quite as simple as just looking at the number of puffs advertised on the box. In this guide, we’ll explain what you need to know.

How Many Hits Do the Newest Geek Bar Vapes Have?

Although there are quite a few Geek Bar models on the market today, most of the public interest centers around three recent models. Here are those three models along with how much e-liquid they contain and how many hits they’re advertised to have.

  • Geek Bar Pulse: Contains 16 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 15,000 puffs.

  • Geek Bar Pulse X: Contains 18 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 25,000 puffs.

  • Geek Bar Skyview: Contains 16 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 25,000 puffs.

If something about these numbers seems a little off to you, you’re quite right – and in the next section of this guide, we’re going to explain why that is.

Does a Geek Bar Really Have 25,000 Hits?

In practice, it’s very unlikely that you’ll ever get 25,000 hits out of a Geek Bar or any other disposable vape. That’s partially because the puff counts for disposable vapes are calculated with the assumption that each puff will be about a half second long, whereas people typically puff on their vapes for much longer than that in real-world usage.

Also, as you can see from the numbers above, the manufacturers of disposable vapes don’t really know how many hits their devices will produce and tend to fudge the numbers a bit. Also, disposable vapes released more recently tend to have larger advertised puff counts even though they often don’t contain significantly more e-liquid than the previous generation of devices. This issue isn’t unique to Geek Bar vapes; every brand does it.

So, how many hits does a Geek Bar really have? Extrapolating from this study, you can realistically expect to get somewhere in the range of about 200-300 hits for every ml of e-liquid it contains. With the Geek Bar Pulse, for instance, it’s realistic to expect somewhere in the range of 4,800 puffs. Although that’s definitely not 15,000 puffs, it’s still quite a few, and you should have no trouble getting at least a week of use out of the device.

Do Some Geek Bar Flavors Last Longer than Others?

Although there aren’t any Geek Bar flavors that intrinsically last longer than others, it’s definitely possible that some flavors will end up lasting longer than others for you because you vape a little less often when using those flavors. You may find that you aren’t compelled to vape quite as much when you use a neutral flavor like Clear or Cool Mint as opposed to a fruit or candy flavor, which may trigger your sweet tooth and cause you to vape more often. If you find yourself habitually vaping throughout the day even when you don’t really need the nicotine, it might be worthwhile to consider switching to a flavor that’s a little less sweet.

Can You Refill a Geek Bar?

Geek Bars aren’t designed to be refilled. It’s technically possible to do so by forcing the clamshell open and adding e-liquid directly to the device’s reservoir, but you don’t really want to do that because there’s no way to replace the coil in a disposable vape. Eventually, e-liquid residue will cause the coil to produce a burnt flavor, and there’s no way to fix that.

How Can You Make a Geek Bar Last Longer?

There are three factors that affect how long a Geek Bar lasts, and you can make a device last longer by altering one those variables. They are:

  • How long your puffs last. As we mentioned above, the only way to get anywhere near 25,000 puffs out of a Geek Bar is by puffing on the device for no longer than about a half second at a time. However, people typically tend to puff on their devices for two or three seconds, which significantly reduces the number of hits a Geek Bar will have.

  • How many puffs you take per day. If you reduce your number of puffs per day, you’ll get more days of use out of a Geek Bar before it runs out of e-liquid. That’s really the most important factor because the more days a device lasts, the less it costs per day to use.

  • What vaping mode you’re using. If you’re using Pulse Mode, your Geek Bar will produce twice as much vapor – but it’ll also use the e-liquid twice as quickly. If you always use your Geek Bar in Pulse Mode, you can cut the expected number of hits that you’ll get out of the device in half.

It’s hard to make a Geek Bar last longer by varying your puff length because if you shorten your puffs and then find that you aren’t satisfied, you’ll just end up negating the savings by using your device more often.

The vaping mode and the number of puffs that you take per day, though, are definitely controllable factors. If you want to get more hits out of a Geek Bar, you should avoid using Pulse Mode as much as possible. Also, it’s very important to pay attention to how often you vape and make sure that you only use your Geek Bar when you actually need the nicotine. Don’t vape constantly out of habit – put your device down when you’re feeling satisfied and pick it back up again later when your cravings return. If you do that, you’ll probably extend the life of your device by several days.
