In October, We Wear PINK

For as long as I can remember, for me October has meant pink and breast cancer awareness. I watched my Aunt at an early age deal with a diagnosis, treatments, and thankfully a recovery. And I'm sure that for many of you it's meant the same because unfortunately breast cancer knows, no color, age, shape, or even gender. And so many of us have personally felt the effects of it, if not directly us, it's been our moms, aunts, grandmas, cousins, wives, and friends.

Until there is a cure, early detection key and October is a great time to check in with all the women around you, make sure that they have taken part in key diagnostic screening like mammograms. It's unfortunate that we are still in the times of the stigma behind marijuana use but the great news is that we have come a lot further than where we were and medical marijuana has displayed promise for supplementing breast cancer treatment. Studies show that marijuana use may ease pain, nausea, hot flashes, loss of appetite, and anxiety in breast cancer patients.
